FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. (a) If your seats are fitted with headrests: open the Velcro seam running along the top of the protector. Slide this over the headrest and seal the Velcro seam around them. This will hold the protector in position.
(b) If your seats do not have headrests fitted to them: simply place the seat protector over the top of the rear seat. The design of this top section of the protector should hold it in position.
2. Pull the protector down over the front face of the rear seat and position the elasticated bottom of the protector round the base of he front cushions. This will hold the protector in position.
3. There is a Velcro seam running along the join line of the front and base of the protector. Open this Velcro seam up at the relevent position and pull through the seat belt fittings. Re-seal the Velcro seam around these fittings so they are exposed and can be used.
Due to the amount of different makes and models it may be in some cases that the seat belt fittings do not line up with the Velcro seam. If this is the case:
a. Mark with a pen a thin vertical line where the seat belt fittings are located.
b. With a sharp knife carefully cut a slot int the seat protector where you have marked it so that the seat belt fittings can pass through the seat protector.
c. We recommend that you do not cut through the seam that joins the seat protector base sheet to the seat protector cover back sheet as this gives the seat protector its shape and strength. Cut whichever side of the seam is more appropriate.
d. We also recommend that you remove the seat protector from the vehicle before you start to cut the protector so you do not damage your vehicle's interior.
4 Tuck the seat protector into the sides and th front of the rear seat so it is neatly fitted
5. There are 2 long securing straps which can be fitted under the base cushion of the rear seats if you feel they are necessary to keep the protector in position.
6. Make sure the rear seat protector does not foul any of the seat adjustement or movement mechanisms.
7. Make sure that if there is any surplus fabric from the seat protector that may interfere with the seat/ seta belt fittings that is taped up or pinned up using safety pins so it will not get in the way.
